Our Story
Born from Aerospace Research
IsoTruss was invented by Dr. David Jensen at Brigham Young University in the early 1990s. Inspired by the geometry of nature — the same triangulated forms found in bone, coral, and crystal — Dr. Jensen developed a continuous-fiber composite lattice structure unlike anything that had come before.
The IsoTruss geometry achieves near-theoretical maximum structural efficiency by routing load along the shortest possible paths through a three-dimensional open lattice. The result is a structure that can be 10 to 20 times lighter than steel for equivalent load-bearing capacity.
After years of university research, prototype development, and rigorous testing, IsoTruss Inc. was founded to bring this technology to market — serving industries where weight, strength, and durability are mission-critical.
Who We Are
We Build for Tomorrow
At IsoTruss, Inc., we build for tomorrow. We are committed to game-changing products and meaningful partnerships. We are deeply dedicated to innovative, durable solutions — including our patent-pending IsoTruss PIM Armor, a breakthrough composite panel that drastically attenuates passive intermodulation (PIM) interference both behind antennas and on parapet walls.
This advanced material boosts RF signal strength, range, and clarity — especially in dense urban sites, rooftops, macro cells, and DAS applications — while delivering lightweight, weather-resistant, and easy-to-install performance that solves real-world telecom challenges permanently.
We pursue strategic partnerships as our core strength — collaborating closely with customers, engineers, network operators, and stakeholders to co-create solutions, accelerate adoption, drive mutual success, and amplify lasting impact through shared innovation and trust.
People. Product. Partnerships.
That's how we deliver exceptional results — together.
The Technology
Open-Lattice Composite Architecture
The IsoTruss structure is defined by its continuous helical and longitudinal fiber members woven into a three-dimensional open lattice. This geometry is the key to its exceptional performance.
Extreme Strength-to-Weight
Up to 93% lighter than steel at equivalent structural performance. The open lattice eliminates dead weight while maintaining full load-path integrity.
Optimized Geometry
Triangulated nodes distribute stress uniformly across the entire structure, eliminating stress concentrations that cause conventional structures to fail.
Advanced Composites
Carbon fiber, fiberglass, and hybrid composite materials are wound continuously — no joints, no fasteners — producing a monolithic structure with superior fatigue resistance.
Scalable Manufacturing
Automated filament winding enables consistent, repeatable production at scale. Structures range from centimeters to tens of meters in length.
Corrosion Resistant
Composite materials are inherently immune to rust and corrosion, dramatically reducing lifecycle maintenance costs in harsh environments.
Fully Customizable
Fiber angle, diameter, wall thickness, and material composition can all be tuned to meet exact load, weight, and environmental requirements.
Intellectual Property
Protected by Patents
IsoTruss technology is protected by multiple issued and pending patents covering the core lattice geometry, manufacturing processes, and application-specific configurations. Our IP portfolio represents decades of university research and commercial development.
Our Team
The People Behind IsoTruss
Cromwell Wong
Chief Executive Officer / Board Member
Cromwell Wong serves as an executive at IsoTruss, Inc. Prior to IsoTruss, he was part of the team that managed Saudi Aramco's debt portfolio and assisted in the company's IPO listing. Previously, he worked for QRI Group, an upstream Oil & Gas consulting and investment firm, and started his career on Wall Street with JPMorgan and Ernst & Young in NYC. Cromwell is one of the seed investors in BILT and KidsPod, a former advisor to DocQ, and a real estate investor. He received his MBA from Brigham Young University – Provo and his undergraduate degree from BYU – Hawaii. He is fluent in English and proficient in Tagalog, Japanese, and Mandarin.
Marianne Clayton
Executive VP
Marianne Clayton directs operations and technical strategy. She previously headed the company's research and development, overseeing projects in telecom, aerospace, and construction. Her efforts have secured over $2 million in government grant funding from organizations including the USDA and EPA. Before IsoTruss, she contributed to innovation in plastics and composites at US Synthetic. She is part of ACMA's inaugural Emerging Leaders Program and was recognized in 2023 as one of 16 Women at the Forefront of Advanced Manufacturing in Utah. Marianne holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from BYU.
EksAyn Anderson
Chief Revenue Officer
EksAyn is an author, sales and negotiation expert, and speaker featured on Forbes.com, Speaker Magazine, TV, and various business podcasts. His book, The Key to the Gate, has sold internationally. EksAyn has extensive selling experience across governments, associations, and businesses. In one notable role, after only 3½ years with an organization, he closed 3 of the top 6 largest transactions in its history — including the all-time record, which was over six times larger than the next biggest sale. EksAyn is excited to be part of the IsoTruss team.
David W. Jensen, Ph.D., P.E.
Chief Technical Advisor – Structural & Materials Engineering
Dr. Jensen received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from BYU and an S.M. and Ph.D. in Aerospace Structures from MIT. He served as Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at BYU, where he developed the IsoTruss® technology and invented a machine to continuously fabricate lattice structures. He served on the AIAA Board as Technical Director of the Structures, Design and Test Group. Awards include a Stoel-Rives Utah Innovation of the Year Award, BYU Outstanding Achievements in Technology Transfer Award, and AIAA Sustained Service Award.
Karl F. Warnick, Ph.D., F.IEEE
Chief Technical Advisor – Radio Frequency Engineering
Dr. Warnick received his BS in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from BYU. He is the Parkinson Engineering Research Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at BYU and a Fellow of the IEEE. He has published extensively on wireless communications, computational modeling, antenna systems, and imaging sensors for radio astronomy.
